Technopolis GS sets up production of Rezonver welding machines

Nov. 14, 2014

The facilities of the Technopolis GS innovative territorial cluster, developed by the GS Group holding in the city of Gusev, Kaliningrad Region, will host the production of multifunctional welding machines of the Russian developer Rezonver.
The agreement between the companies was signed in October 2014.

To organize production at the facilities of the Prancor plant, which is part of Technopolis GS, the Russian startup company Rezonver attracted investments worth $ 3 million. The enterprise will act as the manufacturer of the developer’s main product - multifunctional devices for cutting and welding metal, which are based on the patented method of resonant energy conversion. This method allows you to produce compact and powerful welding machines that can operate in conditions of power surges, as well as with short circuits. The manufactured equipment should become competitive in the world market and become import-substituting products for Russian specialized enterprises, first of all, replacing the prevailing Chinese and American models.

A trial batch of Rezonver welding machines will appear on the Russian market in November 2014. During 2015, it is planned to produce up to 50,000 devices, which will exceed the volume of such equipment produced by most European companies.

“The organization in Russia of the mass production of such multifunctional industrial equipment is a big event for the market of our country and the CIS countries,” comments Andrey Bezrukov, Strategic Marketing Director of GS Group. “The fact that the production was located at the facilities of Technopolis GS, once again confirmed the highest technological level of this site, preparedness for the implementation of complex projects, and the qualifications of cluster specialists.”

The Prancor enterprise, which will produce Rezonver multifunctional welding machines, is a modern platform for organizing contract manufacturing in the Kaliningrad region. The plant has equipment for the implementation of such projects at various stages, including the technological areas of cold stamping, injection molding machines with clamping forces of up to 200 tons, and painting of plastic and metal products.
